Dr. McConville is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He is a seasoned and skilled medical practitioner with more than 26 years of experience focused on primary care, men’s health and lumps & bumps.
Practising at both our Denman Street and Commercial Drive locations, Dr. McConville has a keen interest in mental health. He is active in his community and contributes his time as a director on the board of the Mood Disorders Association of BC (MDABC). When he is not busy taking care of patients or volunteering, Dr. McConville, an avid cook, relaxes by preparing meals for family and friends. To keep fit, he snowboards frequently.
In the near future, Dr. McConville will be part of the medical aesthetics team at Care Point Gold WholeHealth: Yaletown.

Dr. Anthony French
Dr. French brings a wealth of experience and care to all patient interactions. After graduating as a physician and surgeon from Oxford University in England, Dr. French started his career by working in both the U.K. and the Caribbean. In 1987, one year after Care Point was founded, Dr. French moved to Canada and worked as a family doctor at our Denman Street location.
In 1996, Dr. French founded a clinic on Commercial Drive and served that community before returning to the Care Point family in 2002 to practise at our Denman Street location. A committed practitioner, Dr. French spends time researching the latest medical developments and shares this knowledge freely with his compassionate, esteemed colleagues. A passionate member of the art community, Dr. French enjoys reading, pottery and painting classes.
Dr. Fera brings a vast amount of experience in both clinical practice and clinical research.Dr. Fera has led a distinguished career serving as the head of medicine and director of the intensive care unit (ICU) at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital. He is currently a clinical professor in the University of British Columbia’s respiratory division. Dr. Fera provides expert advice on respiratory and allergy consults, allergy tests for skin and pulmonary function testing, as well as sleep apnea evaluations. Dr. Fera is also on staff at Vancouver General Hospital and Providence Health Care.
Dr. Yoon graduated from the faculty of medicine at the University of British Columbia in 2010 and completed his family medicine residency at University Hospital in 2012. Dr. Yoon joined the Care Point community in the same year and currently practices at our Joyce Street location. Dr. Yoon has a special interest in chronic disease management and cardiovascular risk reduction, including treatment of hypertension and diabetes.
Dr. McCallum graduated from the University of British Columbia with her medical degree in 1969. She provides a wealth of care and insight to the Care Point community. Her depth of knowledge has been informed by working as a family physician in rural and urban settings in Newfoundland, Ontario and British Columbia.
In 2000 Dr. McCallum completed a one-year program in Care of the Elderly at the University of Western Ontario and has since turned her focus to geriatric care. Practising at our New Westminster and Joyce Street Care Point clinics, Dr. McCallum runs a weekly women’s wellness clinic. She is also a staff physician at George Derby Centre, a long-term care facility in Burnaby. Dr. McCallum enjoys playing the piano, as well as outdoor activities such as canoeing, swimming, biking and hiking.
Women’s Health Specialist NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP)
Dr. Trainor graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland and completed her residency in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is a NAMS certified menopause practitioner (NCMP) and a clinical faculty member of the department of family medicine at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Trainor currently offers women’s health clinics by appointment at the Commercial Drive and Denman Street locations.
Outside of the office, Dr. Trainor enjoys a balanced life that includes yoga, meditation, weightlifting and family time.
Dr. Cooper graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2010 and completed her family medicine residency atUniversity Hospital in 2012. Shortly afterward, Dr. Cooper joined the Care Point community and currently practises family medicine at our Denman Street as well as Davie Street locations. When not at work, Dr. Cooper enjoys snowboarding and travelling.
Dr. Polay graduated from medical school at the University of Calgary in 1996 and completed his family medicine residency program at the University of British Columbia in 1998. Over the past two decades, Dr. Polay has treated many patients throughout the Lower Mainland, and he is currently developing a large practice of regular patients at Care Point’s Commercial Drive location.
Dr. Hanson is a pioneer in treating pain without using drugs, both with acupuncture and intramuscular stimulation (IMS), and now he is also incorporating his proprietary technique of trigger-point micro-dissection.
After a successful career working as team doctor to the Toronto Argonauts, Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings and the Colorado Rapids, Dr. Hanson developed a proprietary approach to pain management that does not require the use of opioids for patients with musculoskeletal pain.
He is also the co-developer of the FaceMaster®, popularized by Suzanne Somers, which is a popular home device for toning and rejuvenating the facial muscles.
Dr. Hanson is a keen musician and stays active playing tennis and downhill skiing.
Practising within the Care Point community since 2016, Dr. Hanson welcomes patients by appointment.
Katharine Archer graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1993 and completed a one-year internship at Vancouver General Hospital in 1994. Her passion for food and good health has fuelled her desire to be an educator on nutrition and health for more than 20 years. Through “nutrition coaching”, Katharine empowers and motivates patients, offering life strategies that are reasonable and easy to follow long-term.
Practising at our Denman Street location, Katharine helps prevent and treat chronic disease and teaches patients how to manage their weight. She also coaches patients on how to balance healthy eating with a busy lifestyle. In her spare time, Katharine enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors and travelling as often as she can.

Obstetrician & Gynecologist Women’s Health Specialist Urogynecologist Specialist
Dr. White completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1976.
He became deputy head of the division of gynecology in Vancouver followed by head of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Prince George Regional Hospital. Soon after, he assumed the role of director of urogynecology services for a large network of clinics in the United States.
Outside of work, Dr. White actively supports institutions pursuing research and clinical trials into retinal-related blindness disorders.

Quita Harman graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Australia, with a master of physiotherapy in 2004. Since then she has worked exclusively in private practice, treating patients of all ages with musculoskeletal conditions, including sports-related injuries.
Quita has been with the Care Point community since 2009. With over 10 years’ experience, you can expect a whole-body integrative approach that focuses on optimizing movement patterns to treat your specific injury and maximize your overall function. She has an extensive background in personal training and has delivered workshops in the community with a focus on injury management, exercise prescription and postural education. Her hobbies include skiing, cycling, kitesurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, swimming and pilates.
